“We parents are encouraged to not abandon them and not give up.”

10-year-old Haohao loves going to school despite the daily difficulties he encounters due to cerebral palsy. His mother, therefore, is required by the school to accompany him in the class, leaving her younger son in the care of his grandmother.

Since 2012, Haohao and his family have been receiving support such as home visits, free therapy and specialised equipment from ICC. This past summer, Haohao attended ICC’s summer camp where he made lots of friends, learnt many exciting things, and of course had a fun time in the pool!

“Thank you to all loving members of ICC and your noble sentiments of giving without expecting anything in return.” Haohao ’s mother wrote in her letter to ICC.

Stewart and Gillian Evans (right) are therapists from the UK who provide regular support to ICC in different projects including Family Partners Programme.
ICC provides Haohao with a shower chair to assist with showering.
