【CEO Report】3rd Quarter Newsletter
I hope all of you are staying safe and serene during these difficult times. We are grateful that the young people and families we serve have not been touched by the coronavirus, but the price of vigilance means that children get fewer opportunities to get out and explore.
But with some creativity from our staff, they are still having fun. As you can see in this photo, the young people in Hengyang walked the Great Wall of China–at least in spirit. They did get a chance to get outside on the same day that people all around the world took part in our Walk the Wall event. It was a lot of fun, and a great chance to get outside while supporting an important cause.
It is this spirit of making the most of every situation that has brought joy and satisfaction to the hundreds of young people ICC cares for. They may face physical or developmental limitations, but there is no limit to the love and encouragement they can experience. Our young people know that they can test their own limits and become all that God intends for them to be. This is true for all of us; even when health threats alter our routines and plans, we can respond just as the young people in Hengyang and Changsha do: with acceptance and a bit of creativity.
