【CEO Report】1st Quarter Newsletter 2022
In the Northern hemisphere, where I live, Spring is beginning to make an appearance: new growth, warm breezes and the first tentative buds on trees. In China they are always ahead of the game: what Westerners call Chinese New Year is referred to as the Spring Festival in China. Even though the first day of the Lunar New Year is often one of the coldest of the year, everyone looks forward to the coming of Spring and everything that promises: growth, warmth and abundance.
We are so blessed to be able to be a part of so many people’s lives. From the children living in our cozy Enquan Yuan facility in Changsha to the dozens of young people in Hengyang stepping out on a Spring morning for their daily dance. Plus families scattered far and wide who have become our friends as we help them meet their needs.
Spring reminds us of the promise of renewal and growth. These are important elements in all of our programmes. As Spring unfolds in China, we welcome the opportunity to help so many young people on their own paths of renewal and growth.
