The International Operations Leadership Team provides strategy and support for our network of National Offices around the world that work to fundraise and raise awareness for ICC.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
As CEO, Jannene is responsible for the leadership of ICC. She works closely with David Gotts and the International Supervisory Board (ISB) to provide overall leadership to the organisation.
Jannene first connected with ICC in 1999 through a trip to China. Bringing with her a background in human resources, she began processing field applicants and mobilising volunteers. That has led to an increased role with ICC. Based in Ipswich, Australia, Jannene is married to her husband, John, and has two daughters.
Rex leads special projects for ICC. Before joining the ICC staff in 2012, Rex has been closely connected with ICC as board chair for ICC Australia since 2006. A professional engineer by background, with post-graduate studies in Business Management and Finance, Rex has spent 30 years in engineering and manufacturing management. He has served in a range of senior roles in areas of finance, strategy, marketing and general operational management. He has served on a number of corporate and advisory boards and he currently runs his own business when not working for ICC.
At ICC, Rex has a comprehensive overview of the international finances, managing in detail the flow of funds from the source in six different countries to China, and reporting on these for the ICC executive and the Board. He lives in the Brisbane/Ipswich area of Australia with his wife of over 30 years, Jill.
Director of Communications
Sam leads our Communications Department. Before joining ICC in 2010, he spent over 15 years in diverse fields including banking, newspapers, high-tech startups and politics—primarily doing marketing and communications. At ICC he develops and coordinates all internal and external communications and resources the marketing and promotional efforts of ICC's National Offices. Sam lives in Canada in the Vancouver area with his wife, Lana, and their sons, Matthew and Wyatt.
Liaison, National Offices
After spending 15 years in business management, Sylvia transitioned to the non-profit sector in 2004. Prior to ICC, she was based in New York City, serving as Chief Operating Officer of the WEA. In recent years, through a series of work related trips, she developed a heart for China, which eventually drew her to the work of ICC. Sylvia works with ICC's network of National Offices in the areas of communication, goal alignment and collaborative opportunities. Sylvia lives in Canada in the Vancouver area.
