Attention: China Team Alumni

The Need is Still There

Did your China Team experience make you feel like you’ve only just scratched the surface of how much you can contribute? Did you leave sensing that there was more that you could do, and that you want to build on the relationships you’ve made with the children and staff?

Over the past 20 years, so much progress has been made in our work. But, there is still more to do. God continues to challenge our vision, asking us to look across the rest of the country and feel the ache for the many more children who are lost and abandoned.
You can be part of this by joining us as a Long Term Volunteer, helping to bring lasting change to some very amazing children and young people. We prefer at least a two-year commitment to give you the opportunity to grasp language and culture, essential for living in China and interacting with our children and the 200+ Mandarin-speaking staff. But we will consider Short Term Volunteers that can only commit for a minimum of six months.

There’s currently a special need for Physical and Occupational Therapists, Special Education Teachers and Pastoral Care professionals, but we want you to apply regardless of what skills you have to bring. Volunteers are self-supported through their own fundraising efforts, but some funding is available for those committing to longer terms.
