In January, staff members from ICC's international network of National Offices and executive team came together in Vancouver, Canada for training sessions.
Every year, ICC must raise the funds necessary to provide love, hope and opportunity to the hundreds of children in full-time care in China. ICC has a global network of Development Representatives that work hard to make this care possible.
Liam MacCourt from Australia, Esther Lee from Canada, Janice Fung from Hong Kong, Su Lian Lee from Singapore, Judy Elliott from the UK and Tracy Imbach from the USA all took part in sessions led by Doris Olafsen, VP of Philanthropy with Opportunity International Canada. Doris led the group in some exciting teaching and discussions.
Also present was David Gotts (ICC's Founder and Executive Director), Jannene Wall (Deputy Executive Director), Michelle Wallach (Director of Development), Sylvia Soon (National Office Liaison) and Sam Kirk (Director of Communications).
ICC's Development Representatives visit churches, present to service organizations and meet with individuals to tell the ICC story. This results in new donors, new child sponsors, new China Team members, new volunteers and new participants of Walk the Wall. The work of the representatives makes much of the work of ICC possible.
The training sessions were a time of learning new skills, sharing ideas, building relationships and getting excited about the upcoming year's work.
