Rich was from the UK and was CEO of Links International. His association with ICC goes back many years, including being a founding member of ICC’s International Supervisory Board (ISB) and serving as the inaugural chair for many years.
Lyndel Clancy, ICC’s current ISB chair, spoke of Rich fondly. She said this of him: “He brought wisdom, humour and a ‘can do’ attitude, along with wonderful spiritual guidance and input. He was integral in setting the foundations for ICC.”
In 2010, David Gotts said this about Rich’s time with ICC: “He met the challenge with enthusiasm and humility. His Kingdom perspective guided many discussions as the board sought to shape and develop ICC’s work. Rich...blessed the work of ICC in innumerable ways...”
In that same announcement, David stated that ICC would seek to honour Rich’s memory in a permanent way. On 5 May 2012 at the group homes opening, Rich’s wife, Lynda, and his two children, Sam and Amy, unveiled a plaque naming the homes as the Rich Hubbard Group Homes.
